IA2 Program – Artificial Intelligence and Augmented Engineering
Hybridise artificial intelligence, business knowledge and physical models.
This vast research program aims at combining artificial intelligence technologies with the methods already deployed by industrial engineering, in order to optimize operational performances but also to assist in the necessary business transformations.
The IA2 program proposes to develop solutions hybridizing three modeling and simulation approaches: physical systems modeling, the use of business knowledge or behaviour models expressed by experts, and learning models based on real data that are currently provided by Artificial Intelligence technologies.
The program brings together thirty industrial partners (with specific consortia per project) and academics over 5 years. It is made up of 6 collaborative R&D projects for industrial purposes, based on concrete use cases, overseen by an upstream project that pools scientific results together.
Projects under construction:
- Performance of Hybrid Simulators, PSH
- Industrial Infrastructure Supervision, SII
- Augmented Multi-agent Simulation, SMA
- Business semantics for Multisource Data Exploitation, SED
The program is complemented by an upstream scientific coordination project which will pool together academic work aimed at removing the scientific obstacles of the six R&D projects, when these can be shared with all the partners of the IA2 program. This coordination was entrusted to Marc Schoenauer, Inria Research Director. The work is carried out in the form of doctorates and post-doctorates in close collaboration with cutting-edge laboratories.
