Sebastian Hörl is a senior researcher at IRT SystemX and invited researcher at the GRETTIA lab of Université Gustave Eiffel. He obtained his PhD in 2020 from ETH Zurich and his HDR in 2025 from Université Paris Est. His research interests revolve around replicable use of open data and software in transport planning, and applied large-scale agent-based transport simulation. He animates a research community around the open-source framework eqasim for reproducible population synthesis.
