About IRT SystemX

Labeled in 2012 under the Investments for the Future Program (PIA) – now part of France 2030, SystemX is a technological research institute (IRT) dedicated to the digital engineering of systems. In a rapidly changing world where mastering key technologies of digital transformation is central to the systems of the future, the institute harnesses the full potential of research on these technologies to help shape a safer, more efficient, and more sustainable world.
In line with the objectives of France 2030, SystemX operates structuring research programs that create value at a societal scale by addressing major challenges of digitalization and decarbonization. These programs foster collaboration among a wide range of industrial (large corporations, mid-sized companies, SMEs, start-ups), academic, and institutional partners, and promote multidisciplinarity and cross-sector synergies.
Based in the heart of Paris-Saclay and the Lyon region, SystemX focuses its key areas of expertise on trusted and hybrid artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and industrial digital twins. The institute aims to overcome major scientific and technological challenges in four application domains:

  • Mobility, logistics, and automated transport,
  • Industry of the future,
  • Defense and Security,
  • Energy and infrastructure.
