Cyber Physical Systems (CPS) are currently of great interest to academia, industry, and governments due to their broad application and potential impact on society, environment, and economy. Their application domains include transportation, energy, healthcare, and manufacturing among others. CPS integrate the physical and the cyber worlds, and therefore ensuring their safety and security is of utmost importance to their successful operation and acceptance. However, it is a difficult task due to dependencies between the two domains. Thus, there is a need to analyse both the safety and the security in an integrated way.
This work will introduce into my previous work in the area of integrated safety and security analysis, and future research interest.
Biographie (en anglais) :
Giedre Sabaliauskaite has recently joined the Systems Security Group in the Institute for Future Transport and Cities at Coventry University, UK. She received her PhD in Software Engineering from the Osaka University, Japan in 2004. Before joining the Coventry University, she worked at the iTrust Centre for Research in Cyber Security at the Singapore University of Technology and Design, where she was involved in research projects on cyber-physical system security. From 2016 until 2020, Giedre designed and led a project funded by the Singapore Ministry of Defence, which focussed on safety and security integration in autonomous vehicles. Furthermore, she contributed to developing standards (known as the Technical Reference 68) for safe deployment of fully autonomous vehicles on Singapore roads.
