Résumé

Digital twins are becoming foundational to industrial AI, enabling simulation, prediction, maintenance, interoperability, process optimization, and autonomous operations. Rather than mere 3D simulations, digital twins are complex software systems that combine data, models, and services to represent and manipulate physical systems across their lifecycle. Yet their development remains costly and complex, especially for SMEs. The talk discusses the model-driven engineering of digital twins using low-code tools, industrial standards, and AI-assisted generation as enablers for scalable and accessible digital twins. It offers a research-driven vision in which digital twins become trustworthy infrastructure for intelligent, autonomous manufacturing.
