Accelerate methodological and tool-based work towards the validation of the connected automated vehicle.

The CVH project comes within the scope of the design and validation of automation functionalities for on-road driving, in particular in the case of the automated passenger car and, more broadly, of an automated public transport system. The European strategy for the validation of an automated vehicle is based on the use of scenarios, namely those of accidentology and expertise, and derived from real or simulated driving situations or testing. A constructor will thus define their testing strategy based on the definition of the system (perception, reaction ability, level of autonomy, environmental limitations, etc.) and the lists of scenarios. The most coherent scenarios according to the system will be selected, following which a test plan will be generated (list of scenarios developed into a variety of concrete scenarios including defined values for positions, speed, acceleration, etc.).
Launched in 2023 for a duration of 4 years, the CVH project (Chaîne outillée pour la Validation et l’Homologation du véhicule automatisé connecté – Tool-based chain for the validation and certification of the connected automated vehicle) which is an extension of the 3SA project, aims to accelerate the methodological and tool-based work for the validation of the connected automated vehicle in compliance with regulatory and normative rules.
