Paul Labrogère, who holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering from EFREI Paris (Class of ’95), has served as CEO of the SystemX, a research and technology organization, since 2018. With over 25 years of experience in the software and technology sectors, he is a leading expert in digital engineering and a driving force in fostering collaboration across research and industry. Through applied digital technology research, he bridges startups and large corporations, aligning system design with real-world applications. As a dedicated advocate for trustworthy AI, Paul Labrogère spearheads the Confiance.ai program, a flagship initiative focused on trustworthy AI deployment. Actively involved in the Paris-Saclay Deeptech ecosystem, he is a member of the executive board for the Systematic Paris-Region cluster, the selection committee for IncubAlliance, the research committee of Telecom Sud-Paris (IP Paris) and the development council of the Paris-Saclay Urban Community.

Patrice Aknin is the Scientific Director of the SystemX technological research institute (IRT). As a member of the operational management, he defines and implements IRT SystemX’s scientific strategy by identifying and structuring the scientific issues to be addressed and the scientific responses to be made to industrial problems. He manages the scientific arm of the Institute by supporting and assisting its scientific growth and coordinating relationships with its partners in public research and higher education. A PhD of Université Paris-Sud and “Habilitation à diriger des Recherches” of the Ecole Normale Supérieure in Cachan, his career was one of research at Inrets, later known as Ifsttar (French Institute of Science and Technology for Transport, Developpement and Networks). In 2008 he was appointed Research Director at Ifsttar after filling several posts, not least leadership of the “Diagnosis and Maintenance” team from 1998 to 2009 and then the directorship of the Laboratory for New Technologies at Marne-la-Vallée (LTN Marne) until 2011. He then joined the Scientific Direction of Ifsttar as Deputy Scientific Director for doctoral studies and academic partnerships. In 2013, he was appointed Scientific Director of the SNCF in the Innovation & Research division, in charge of the group’s doctoral studies, academic partnerships, expert network and innovative design. He worked there until 2016. During his career, Patrice Aknin has directed 16 theses and 3 “habilitations” in the fields of diagnosis, decision support tools, reliability and statistical learning. He is the author of 35 articles for peer-reviewed journals and over a hundred international conferences. He has taught at ENS Cachan, Université Paris-Sud, and ENSEA Cergy and is currently a professor at Ecole des Ponts ParisTech. Patrice Aknin is a member of the scientific boards of ENS Paris-Saclay and ENSTA ParisTech, the board of directors of the SEE, the steering committee of the ANRT and the board of the MSTIC doctoral school of Université Paris-Est. He was vice chairman of the operational group “Quality of Transport Systems” in the PREDIT inter-ministerial program and a member of the CERTIFER rail certification agency. Patrice Aknin is also a member of the EURNEX excellence network for European rail research.

Yannick Bonhomme, 46, holds a PhD in Information Technologies from the University of Montpellier and an Executive MBA from Paris-Dauphine University. He has four years’ experience in developing industrial partnerships (CEA-LIST) and more than 18 years of experience in R&D, gained particularly at the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA), including five in management in the field of digital and embedded systems. He joined IRT SystemX in January 2020 as Head of Valorization and Director of Confiance.ai, the largest R&T programme of the national Artificial Intelligence strategy launched in 2018.

Aurélie Bourrat is Communications Director at the Institute for Technological Research SystemX. As a member of the operational management team, she defines and implements the Institute’s internal and external communications strategy. She develops the IRT’s brand image and works with the research teams to promote their work.<!– [et_pb_line_break_holder] –>After completing a Master in Marketing and Communications Strategy, Aurélie spent almost ten years honing her expertise in various research and innovation organisations. She first joined Digiteo – a group of higher education and research establishments that was the forerunner of Université Paris-Saclay – as a communications officer. Three years later, she became a consultant for IncubAlliance and assisted them with their web-based and corporate communications projects. In 2013, she joined the IRT SystemX as events and internal communications officer. After five years in this position, she took over the management of the Institute’s communications team.

Sébastien Gripon is Director of Programs and Projects at the SystemX Technological Research Institute (IRT SystemX). A graduate in Computer Science from INSA Lyon, Sébastien has over 20 years of experience in software engineering and project management. He spent 15 years in the industry at Quadient, a provider of mail processing solutions, where he held several leadership positions—from project management to heading an R&D department responsible for software development of the group’s franking machines. In 2020, he joined IRT SystemX as R&D Manager, overseeing software engineering and DevOps infrastructure. In this role, he plays a key part in shaping the institute’s platform strategy and implementing its open source policy.

Cyril Orgelot is the Institute for Technological Research SystemX’s Chief Administrative Officer. Member of the operational management team of the IRT SystemX, he heads the budget and financial management of the Institute, as well as the human resources and the legal affairs. Cyril filled various positions in finance in multinational groups, mostly SSII and IT constructors, as well as high-tech startups. After four years in a firm of auditors and chartered accountants, he became the Administrative and Financial Director of various companies, including Acer Computer France and Fujitsu France. In 2013, Cyril co-founded a startup specialized in 3D printing, where he was head of finance. This project, funded in Europe, continued its development in Silicon valley, California. In 2016, before joining SystemX, Cyril helped a French Biotech company developing anti- HIV vaccines to raise funds. Cyril is a graduate of the l’Institut Supérieur Commercial in France and holds a diploma in accounting and finance (DESCF).

As an engineer graduate from Supélec, Lionel Scremin pursued his career in North-America during 15 years for the Alstom group. He hold different positions form systems engineering to product management, leading the delivery and implementation of high-technology products and digital solutions in the fields of telecommunication, multimedia, security systems, transport and infrastructure. He broadened his technical expertise with the completion of a Master of Applied Sciences and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Montreal. He joined the IRT SystemX in 2013 as head of a research consortium dedicated to multimodal transport, henceforth rallying his innovation and managerial background with this new position. In 2017, he took over the responsibility of building the activity of the IRT SystemX in the area of Lyon.

Holder of a postgraduate degree (DEA) in Labor Law from the University of Paris II Panthéon-Assas, Mathilde Pilarski-Gauthier began her career in academia, teaching labor law at the University of Lyon III as an adjunct lecturer for three years. She then joined the Mutualité Sociale Agricole as a labor law jurist, where she specialized in labor relations. Later, she broadened her expertise to include human resources by taking on regional HR manager roles within large corporations, in demanding sectors such as retail and logistics. Continuing to expand her involvement in human resources and seeking to join a more human-scale organization, she has held the position of Human Resources Director at IRT SystemX since 2018.
