Responsible digitization: IRT SystemX reinforces its commitment to inclusion

Six years ago, IRT SystemX entered into partnership with ECODAIR, a solidarity-based enterprise of social value. Since then, ECODAIR had been reconditioning our computers all the while fostering the education and social integration of the fragile, disabled or those alienated from employment.

In the face of the challenges caused by the health crisis, we have reinforced our commitment as a responsible digital player. This awareness has led us to focus our efforts on three key challenges:

• Reduce the digital divide by fostering access to education for all thanks to tailored equipment
• Reinforce our links with the territory of the Saclay Plateau. Implanted in Gif-sur-Yvette and Palaiseau, we are in close cooperation with the Communauté Paris-Saclay within the framework of our activities.
• Support the circular economy. The institute is strongly involved in this area through its R&D activities.

Following our actions in support of tutoring associations in Palaiseau and Gif-sur-Yvette, we are proud to announce a new gesture in favour of education. Today, the city of Orsay is benefitting from a donation of 32 reconditioned computers. This equipment will be made available to pupils for extracurricular activities and tutoring.

This donation illustrated our will to build a more responsible, inclusive and fair digital world. We wish to warmly thank all involved parties who have made this initiative possible: the teams of ECODAIR, local authorities and our co-workers.
