Résumé
Causality plays a crucial role in critical systems monitoring, where understanding why something happened (or might happen) is far more important than merely knowing what happened. In this work, I will present the basic principles of causal analysis in practice, with several examples of successful applications in energy forecasting, marketing or root cause detection in IoT, along with perspectives for future research and collaborations
Biographie
Since Sept. 2017, Marianne Clausel is Professor in Statistical learning in the Simul Research Group@CRAN, University of Lorraine. She is also co-PI of the CAUSALI-T-AI project of PEPR AI funded by the French National Strategy in AI. Her main scientific interest are statistical learning and causality, with a focus on industrial and interdisciplinary applications.
