For the past 10 years, IRT SystemX has been leading multi-partner, cross-sector R&D projects to promote the large-scale adoption of responsible AI in industry.
Convinced that the true value of AI lies not in the models themselves but in their acceptability and ability to be effectively integrated into systems, the institute places trust at the heart of its work to unlock the full innovative potential that AI can offer our industries.
Alongside major industrial players, the institute co-founded the European Trustworthy AI Association, which deploys a comprehensive methodology and cutting-edge open-source tools to support industry in designing trustworthy and regulation-compliant AI systems.
Its ambition: to drive a bold European autonomy strategy for industrial and responsible AI. As the standard-bearer of this “third way” for AI, it aims to position Europe at the forefront of global innovation in trustworthy AI.
On a daily basis, the association is building a European ecosystem that brings together key stakeholders: large companies, SMEs, startups, research labs, academia, regulatory bodies, and certification organizations. All actors are welcome to join this collective effort!
A key program within France’s national AI strategy and led by IRT SystemX, Confiance.ai brought together nearly fifty academic and industrial players who pooled their expertise to address industrial use cases and overcome scientific challenges specific to AI.
Now completed, this program has paved the way for new research initiatives focused on challenges such as generative AI and hybrid AI, and led to the creation of the European Trustworthy AI Association. The goal of the association is to sustain and disseminate the program’s results and to unite the international trustworthy AI community.
